I'm a little late to the game but...I had a 2005 GT manual and with my mods was putting down 335 hp at the wheels. Raced it and burned out all the time, and at 60k miles still shifted like brand new. My 2010 has a very slight grinding noise going into 3rd ONLY when it's cold (as in cold start, on a cold day, doesn't do it in the summer) I live in south Texas so it hasn't been "cold" for several months already and I can't even remember the last time I heard the noise. Only happened probably 3 or 4 times all winter on the coldest days (less than 35 degrees, which doesn't happen often here)
Could be! That being said my wife has a Getrag 6 speed in her Mini and I'm able to shift into reverse easily when it's cold outside and drive it without gear clash.
