Tremec 3650 TSB# and after market shifter

it's really up to your service dept.

If you look on tremec's website, they don't seem to mind aftermarket shifters and actually give you advice on them.

I'd call your service dept. and ask them if an aftermarket shifter would void your tranny warranty.

if they encounter a problem they will blame it on the aftermarket shifter.
just go and put the stock shifter back, once you get your car back.

If you still have the stock shifter (unlike me!), put it back on before taking it in to Ford to service the trannie. Not doing so may be OK, but it may not and then you'd just be screwed. I'd rather spend the 30 mins or so and slap that stocker back in and not have to worry about that phone call from them saying, "Umm, we have a problem." Know what I mean?
If I have to take mine in for this tremec problem (so far, so good though), I'm headed over to my speed shop and borrowing a shifter to install. I'd just rather not risk not getting the service I deserve.
