Hello, I purchase a Tremec TKO with a dual friction Centerforce clutch. The person that i bought it from told me that the transmission was upgraded by X2 motorsport. On Friday, me and some friends were having some issues with the installation.

Problem#1. The clutch disk was missing a little piece. I did not want to use it like that so I ended up with a new Spec 3 disk and kept the Centerforce pressure plate. The clutch pedal is very soft and so far no problems.

Problem#2. When we were trying to insert the transmission into the Lakewood bellhousing, one of the four bolt holes broke. It was the drivers side top hole. We tried putting some welding stuff in it and i don't know if is going to work. After the installation I took the car out to tested. The transmission shifts very smooth, no grinding and no vibrations.

Problem#3. Today i saw transmission fluid in my driveway. I went under the car to investigate. At the beginning i thought that the fluid was coming from the rear seal, but no it is coming from the top, and is not from the shifter area. Maybe the guys that opened to the upgrade did not put enough silicone.

I don't think i over filled, because i only used three quarts of oil. I don't want to drop the transmission, but i guess i have no choice. Have anyone experience something like this. Where do you guys think the fluid is coming from. Any advice is appreciated.

I'd check and make sure they put silicone on the shifter before you pull the tranny.

The shifter got silicone. It seems to me that the fluid is coming from the top middle part of the transmission.

then it sounds like it's one of those two covers that are on the top, if it's not those then the only other thing is a cracked case :S

I just hope is not a cracked case. I was thinking the same thing about the top two covers. I have no choice but to drop the transmission again to take a closer look on those two covers.

Thanks, I am going to take out the crossmember and see if i can get to the breather that way without removing the transmission. I should be able to tell if the fluid is coming from that area.
