I have been doing a little research and am wondering everyone elses opinion. The 99 up mustang V-6 cars use a tremec t5 trans. From what I can tell, change the input shaft, bearing retainer, and vss sensor for a gear, and youd have a 5.0 ready 5spd. I only wonder this because these newer 5spds are a dime a dozen. I mean really low mileage transmissions for about 200 dollars. We all know the input shafts and bearing retainers need to be replaced on almost all t5s anyways, and the parts are cheap. Maybe I have to much time on my hands, then again maybe not. Does anyone know any better? I would appreciate any info anyone can offer.
