Tremec tko install complete

Just talked to my friend who had a tremec 3550. His car did the same howl noise as mine does to the Tee.
Im still pissed at myself for not buying an extended fork. I hope I dont start having clutch cable issues. Like I said, my cable sheething is cracking right where it goes into the bellhousing. Im not sure if its due to the poor cable alignment, header heat or if its been that way. I dont think its from the header. If I change out the cable i'll put some heat wrap stuff over it. Its about 1.5" from the header.

I running pretty much the same set up as you Grn92LX. Tremec TKO, Mcleod Bellhousing, Mcleod Flywheel etc. etc. I didn't use an extended fork either like you.... just threw the stock T-5 one in her and I'm having no problem's at all. One thing I did do though was wrap the clutch cable (Using a Hay's Cable & Qaudrant) in heat wrap and I built my own dust/heat shield to cover the clutch fork opening in the bellhousing.... That may help your cable problem.
As for my TKO.... I've never heard it make a whining noise in any gear from the first day I used it to current time (Aprox. 10,000KM on it Now). Supposedly Tremec claims there Trany's to be quiet is what I've been told by rep's and adds.
I woudn't worry about it too much as tones of other guy's on Stangnet complain about there noisy Tremec's as well, but for the hell of it I'd go right to the sorce and call Tremec (TTC) and see what they have to say.

Wouldn't work.... there isn't much meat left on the stock fork to position the cable further out. You could do a bit of fileing but not enough to make a difference.
You'll have to get a longer fork....

It's not as simple as that, "a good amount" being such a relative description. I think that's also why TTC is able to advertise that they have quiet trannies. Relatively speaking, they do. Not compaired to a T5, but compared to an 18 wheeler, yeah...
You are going to get a vibration- and possibly some noise- from any aftermarket shifter, or any stock shifter that has had the vibration isolator removed. The explanation should be fairly obvious. It isn't a Tremec issue. The howling/whining however can be. It seems as is having it, and not having it, are both perfectly normal. Be concerned if you hear grinding, clunking, the shifting becomes notchier, it doesn't stay in gear, etc. However, looking at your sig, I'm not sure any of this or even this thread is relevent to you. Why do you ask... what's your situation?

I asked becuase I get good vibration thru the shifter,and more in the upper rpms.
and more rattle than I can bare to hear.
I put the yolk in the tranny by itself,and the tranny is com pletly ABSOLUTLY SILENT THRU ALL GEARS w/out the driveshaft. no vibration at all.
