Is Tremec selling the TR6060 separately yet? Will it bolt into a 2000GT? Is it lighter than the Viper 6-speed?

isnt that in the gt500 ?? i wouldnt think it to be possible for it to "bolt right up" to a 2000 gt.. a whole differennt setup, body, and motor

Most people with 2v's go with a TKO500 or 600. They can handle a lot of TQ.

Sorry, I don't know about this new T6060. But if it's designed for a completely different motor, I doubt it will bolt right up to a 4.6 with out tons of modification.

If we can get a viper tranny on a mustang and the new vipers are using the 6060, I'm thinking someone will figure out what's needed to get it to work.

it should bolt up since i belive all the modulars use the same bellhousing bolt pattern. but shifter location and other stuff would need to be worked out.

also not sure how the output shaft is on that trans vs the current 99-04's. so you may need a custom DS

I cant see how the new 6060 would be different than the t56 other than the obvious beefed up internals. Im sure there is a bellhousing out there that will mount the 6060 to your 4.6.

I'm hoping that D&D will get it worked out pretty quick. The tranny is designed for more horsepower than the T-56 plus more synchros in the key 2 and third gear area. The car is over 400hp now and I'm going to put it in the 550 range at the rear wheel over the next couple of weeks.
