Tri-ax problem

I've had my tri-ax in for around 3 years or so. A while back I noticed it was starting to get kinda...clunky, I suppose, shifting into 5th. Now all the gears are like that. Very stiff, not smooth at all. I imagine it needs to be oiled. Where should I oil it and what should I use? Or is it something else?

Have you checked your stops to make sure they are aligned or maybe your bolts on the handle and the base to make sure they are tight?

Checked or changed the trannie fluid lately? Chg'd the 01 to Mobil1 and it made a world of difference.
Still, clunky shifting is possibly a sign of worn parts, shift forks, etc.

Most likely it is a transmission or clutch problem. If the clutch is not releasing all the way it will be hard to put into gear and "notchy" feeling.

If the clutch is not fully releasing, it will wear the syncros and cause the transmission to get worse over time.

After you check out all your stops etc, go ahead with what many others suggested and put some hi grade synth. fluid in the tranny.
