Hey guys, I'm having an issue with my '06 GT and I'm hoping you guys can shed some light on the subject.

I installed a Steeda Tri-Ax in my car and it sometimes has trouble getting in to first. I like have to jam it in there. I never had an issue with the stock shifter. Is that just a Tri ax issue or is something wrong?

That doesn't sound right. Give us a call at 954-960-0774 and let's try to figure out what's going on. I actually have a Tri-Ax on my '06 GT as well (got it before I started working here), and haven't had a problem like you are describing, so definitely give us a call!

I'm assuming you're having issues putting it in first at a dead stop? After installing my shifter it was more difficult to get it in 1st even as slow as 5mph

Yeah, even at a dead stop I have to jam it in to first most of the time. I would think it was the transmission, but I didn't have the issue with the OEM shifter so I think it had something to do with the tri-ax

Thanks

I've never had to jam it into any gears (installed it five years ago). I still rank it as one of the best mods I've made.
