I will be installing my Tri-ax this afternoon, I will let you know the results. By the way, did you have access to a lift or did you just put the car on jacks to complete this swap?
The Steeda Tri-ax shifter is awesome, I have had a Pro 5.0 in my 2002 GT and I believe that this shifter is far superior in quality and function. The only trouble that I had with installation was with the removal and install of the most forward mounting bolt that attaches the billet support arm to the transmission. I had to loosen all 4 transmission mount bolts to allow the trans to drop about 1/2in to take this bolt out and reinstall it without crossthreading. It seems that this bolt will come in contact with the trans tunnel before being completely unthreaded. Installation complete the first drive is exciting and provides a feel closer to the trans mounted shifter of previous models.
I readjusted and lubbed brass bushings today and the shifter works great. I think the key was lubeing the brass bushings and making sure it works properly before tightening the 2 10mm body attatchment bolts.
