I'm planning on finally getting some headers for my 66 Stang, it has a 4 spd manual transmission, I'm already aware that I'll need a power steering lowering bracket.

You guys w/ tri-y's in your 65-66 stangs that have a manual tranny, are the tri-y's hard to install and worth the effort, or should I just go w/ some shorty headers?

Tri-Y's have a lot of welds which tend to go bad as the heat cycles come and go. If you go that route get a good quality set.

I took mine off years ago. Good Luck.

Not tri-Y's, but MAC makes a complete system (header to tail puipe tip) for the 65-66 cars. Quality is very good.
