Ok I've had my 07 GT for almost 2 months now and I've finally gotten over my initial excitment. Now it's time to make it stand out. Right now I'm trying to decide on a new custom paint job. At first I was going to go with the normal racing stripes, but I'm starting to see more and more of those especially with the GT500 being out. So I've done some research and came across this mustang, but I wanna get some opinions from my fellow Stang owners, so tell me what you think of the decal.

I love the subtle flames, not the advertising though

If your going to custom paint then get a custom hand painted design to go with it. I did see a windveil blue with ghost flames....I'm sure was a decal on the sides and it looked cool on that car but if it were me I'd go the extra money to have a design hand painted on. My .02.

That way it's one of a kind.

You could make that exact car in Need for Speed: Underground 2.

As for the flame decal, that was one of the few vinyls I used in that game. It actually looked decent. On my black '05 Mustang in fact.

Those flames have more of a tribal look to me and I think that whole "I'm so tribal - grrr" thing is going to be passe very soon.

You might see if a paint shop in your area could direct you to a graphic designer who might be able to come up with a truly original scheme for you.

Tribal may not be as common as the standard Shelby stripes that you see everywhere, but you won't be alone. I've had a set of tribal graphics on my 'O5 since Feb 2005 and I still have yet to see another Mustang sporting tribal inspired designs.

I dig the flames as well. Leave the vendor stickers off though.

The flames are really unique but stay away from the logos of vendors.... reguardless of what people around here say they don't add HP.

I want to put a "starsky&hutch" similar style stripe on mine but I'm afraid that everybody will want to race me.

Bit too Fast'n'Furious / rice for my liking. What about a true flame paint job?

goodies

I found this link and ordered a few goodies for my '06 Stang. It will finally have a few colors other than black on it ;-) directdecals.com
Thought some of you might be interested - so far, they've been great to me.
