Realistically, you don't have enough to make 12's with out trying to impliment a drag style setup. You can do it with that power, but you got to plant it hard from the start.

What are your current times now? mph?

His Horsepower and Torque numbers seem dead on for the parts he has listed in his signature. I have a Hot Rod magazine article in one of my article-compilation books that dyno tested every conceivable (well-matching) bolt-on on a 5.0 LX, which included aluminum GT-40 heads, Edelbrock Performer 5.0 intake, a complete Mac Exhaust setup (headers, catted H, catback), roller rockers, 70mm throttle body, Paxton Fuel Pressure Regulator, underdrive pullies, comp cam, etc, etc, etc. That car, with all the mods I listed and more, plus a custom tune, put out 297hp at the rear wheels. If he's at around 250hp at the rear wheels, with the parts he has listed, that's about right.

Suspension is a friend in the drag racing scheme of things however i got to the mid 11's with out a drag racing suspension. I just threw more power at the car till it made 11's. I wonder what i could do with a drag racing set up.

The lowering springs won't give the weight transfer like drag springs would. Get as much weight on those back tires as possible

The lowering springs will hurt performance on the track. If you want to keep the springs, get some slicks and torque box reinforcement. You should be shooting for 1.8-1.9 60' times. Maybe some other guy's can answer this. Is that consistantly the best possible to shoot for with a stiffer lowering spring?

Check Jegs or Summit for the prices and availability of the slicks.
