The coupe I recently picked up idles horrible and is pretty rich at idle. The previous owner installed a trick flow intake on it, not sure if track heat or street heat I'm not sure if you can tell by looking but I'm wondering if anyone has any install instructions especially how vacuum lines are hooked up I wana go over what they did. Like for instance the PCv valve they have running up to the throttle body. Thanks it's a e cam stock head, 75mm throttle body set up with 24 lb injectors and a Mac 76mm mass air housing with sample tube for 24's I know it's not the greatest set up but there is potential. Definately think it's got too big of a injector and is begging for some heads but I got her for 1200. The timing is way off due to the fact it will only run at all if the distributor is so fat advanced the tiff module touches the t stay housing. Thanks

First things first. Go to the tech section abd go through the surging idle checklist. It will walk you step by step on how to diagnose and correct a whole number of issues without needlessly swapping parts or throwing money at the problem.
Secondly reset base timing. The car will never run correctly if the timing is out.
Next pull and post all the codes stored in the ecu. We can further help you after that.

Well I was asking about the vacuum line routing for that intake since I don't believe they have it hooked right. Example is the PCv does not go to a vacuum port in the back like stock , it runs directly into a small t where the line from the vent on passenger valve cover that goes up to the throttle body. I've never dealt with the trick flow intake before so I was unsure of how the vacuum lines went on that one

All lines should route to the vacuum tree except for the pcv which goes directly to the intake.

Generic Vacuum diagram 89-93 Mustangs

You guys with idle/stall problems could save a lot of time chasing your tails if you would go through the Surging Idle Checklist. Over 50 different people contributed information to it. The first two posts have all the fixes, and steps through the how to find and fix your idle problems without spending a lot of time and money. I continue to update it as more people post fixes or ask questions. You can post questions to that sticky and have your name and idle problem recognized. The guys with original problems and fixes get their posts added to the main fix.

It's free, I don't get anything for the use of it except knowing I helped a fellow Mustang enthusiast with his car. At last check, it had more than 134,000 hits, which indicates it does help fix idle problems quickly and inexpensively.
