Trick Flow Stage 1 cam HELP!!!!

i have stocks heads and i was wondering if i could put a tfs stage 1 cam in with some 1.6 or 1.7 roller rockers?? i doubt i can but i was just wondering??

i would recomend you to use it with 1.6's because of the stock heads!

but that cam will work good with stock heads? and how much money am i looking at getting this all installed? and i hopeing to get the tfs street heat manifold soon!!

You're not going to notice much of anything with that cam until you either swap out those heads or have the stock one's ported. The bottle neck in SBF's is the heads. Get the heads to breath and watch the cam come to life. You'd be better off spending the money on gears first.
As far as having someone do it for you, it all depends on who you talk to. Its all labor. If the guys competent it won't take more then an afternoon.
Pick up a manual and do it yourself. Its how the rest of us learned.

If you are looking for more power I doubt you will gain much... probably loose power...(assuming you don't have any supporting mods no sig.) For the ammount of work and money involved, there are better gains elseware to be had. Good choice on cams though. It's hard to beat the performance of the stage 1 as far as an off the shelf cam in its class and definately price.

yes they work with the stock heads but trie to port then so you can feel big difference and a stree heat is a good choice or typhoon intakes! and get 3.73 gears....

Just remember, if you do decide to put in that cam you should change your valve springs. The stock springs will not be up to the task of the added lift of the cam. Especially if you have some miles on the car.

Oh ya... springs too... another 130 bucks without labor... Definately look into an intake or gears if you don't mind the hit in gas milage.
