ok heres the deal, ive got a set of track heat heads with the upper and lower intake to match from the guy that i bought the car from. he took them off cause he said he bent a valve from running to much boost from the vortech (also got with the deal). now the question is with the e303 cam thats in there right now will i have piston to valve clearance problems with these heads?
i was wondering about the PTV clearance problems from replies that ive gotten from members here and im not sure if its fact or "well ive heard this or i think that". I NEED A SOLID no BS answer on this soon so i can order the extra parts for the head install while my car is down this week.
id really like to be able to put these heads on while ive got part of the top half of the motor off anyway. any "i know for sure what im talking about advice would be greatly appreciated".

What ratio rockers are you running? I could see there being a PTV contact issue running 1.7 rockers (.529 lift with 1.7's), but with 1.6, it'd clear no problem. It's my understanding that the Track Heat heads are TW's without the smog, so you shouldn't have any issues whatsoever with an E cam.

the track heats have a heavier spring that is good for 600 lift and no smog stuff, with aftermarket flat tops they will be fine with the e cam with 1.6's, i run the track heats with no problems with more lift & duration, (234/240)than the e cam, you can also look on there website and get alot of questions as far as the heads go.

You need to get whatever brand pushrods you want that are hardened, to run with guideplates. Stock pushrods are 6.25 in. Slow95gt, please stop posting until you can give correct info. I've noticed you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about in just about every tech post you make, and you're going to mislead someone one of these days before someone else can come around and correct you.
