hi again everyone. i recently installed mt new trick flow valve covers. they didn't come with baffles, and the baffles from my old valve covers weren't removable. I didn't want to try cutting them out and reattaching them the new valve covers since i don't have access to a welder, and i didn't want to risk messing the new ones up. so....
after reading my handy dandy haynes manual and giving some thought to it, i bought an inline fuel filter and ran it between the oil filler neck and the throttle body. That way if some oil does splash up on the oil filler neck and get sucked in it will be caught in the filter, which has a replacable element. I have been running it that way of about a week now and so far it works great. also today i bought a campbell hausfield air compressor filter with a glass catch can and valve stem type drain on it. i will be running that in line from the pcv valve to intake hose. recently i changed my crankcase breather filter, so the pcv system should be sparking clean by comparison. now.... to organize those damned wires in the engine compartment. looks like medusa's little sister lives under my hood.
