Trickflo Twisted Wedge Heads + Track Heat Intake + Spacer

Ok Have anyone of you guys had to swap out your distributor after rocking the TW Heads, Track Heat upper intake and the 3/8 Spacer (Spacer is required so you can properly clear the EGR valve ears). For some reason as soon as I put the correct Calibrated Pro-M MAF with a CAI kit on it I have had to try to Advance my Distributor to the point where the clips are hitting the Upper Intake and I cannot Advance it anymore. Also I can not get it to run correctly at all either it starts and throttle is very very boggy. If I back it (counter-clockwise) anymore it dies and will not start. Here are some urls to pictures that may help show you want I am trying to explain.

The first cylinders wire is unplugged so you can see how far I have it advanced. I cannot turn it any farther with say Shaving down the upper intake to allow me to get the clips past with the stock distributor. Do I need to purchase a different (which I do not doubt) Distributor to allow me to fix this problem please shed some light. Also I would be delighted to see where you guys have your first cylinders wire position at on your distributors. Also Check my stats for what I am rocking. I do have a slight cam in there E303 (Now that I dont have any emmissions issues probably will be shopping for a new one). Thanks for your Help guys. :flag:
 
You can literally spin the distributor around 180 degrees and as long as the rotor is pointing in the same direction as when you pulled it out, everything will be a-ok. Just keep in mind the harness that you have to plug up and access to the cap clips.

Could I give my view point with a bit different way to explain it :)

When the hb is at tdc on the compression stroke .......

The only thing that matters is ........
the rotor is lined up with the plug wire post on the cap that is going to hole #1

Just position your dizzy where you have some free slack in each direction of
rotation and call that a starting place to do the first trial fit to ensure the rotor
will line up with any post on the cap.

If needed ... you can pull up the dizzy and turn the shaft one tooth in either
direction to make the rotor and cap post line up just right. When you get the
perfect match with the rotor and cap wire post ... you will designate that cap
post as the #1 position :D

Be sure you got enough slack in each direction to twist the dizzy for the
ability to time it as needed ;)

Final step would be to .......
install the remaining 7 wires in their correct firing order :)
