Trickflow buffs needed ASAP

Upon removing my b303 last night and comparing it the TFStreetheat cam (stage 1) - I noticed there wasnt much of a difference to them. Kind of disappointed, I let my mind wander.

I came up with the idea of ditching the StreetHeat kit, and going with the TrackHeat. why? because i want to run the Stage 2 cam, and have some sort of power band (the StreetHeat intake's power band was idle-5500, and the cam works the best in a 2500-6500.. there for im opting for the Trackheat which gives me a 1500-6000 powerband).

Now, for the questions:

- will I have to get notched pistons to run the Stage 2 cam w/1.6's?
- are the Trackheat heads emissions legal?
- should i just run the Streetheat heads w/the Trackheat intake ?
- what are the difference between the Streetheat heads/Trackheat heads.

any info would help.

What are the specs on the stage 2 cam ?

lol you can't justify a cam by looking at it.

1.) Depends on your pistons, TrickFlow told me my flattops would not need notched for a stage 2, but always check
2.) TrackHeats are not emissions legal
3.) If you run the stage 2 cam, personally I would run (and will be running) it with the T.H. heads because of the improved valvetrain on those heads
4.) As far as I know the difference between a TrackHeat head and a normal TwistedWedge head is that the T.H. has a better valvetrain and no emissions

hopefully this will help some, it is correct to the best of my knowledge, you can always email trickflow, they usually get back to me the same day or the next day at latest. Also, if you go to www.trickflow.com it has most everything you need to know and their email address. Good luck

Yeah. I think the biggest difference is the valve springs are better on the track heat. The upper intake I think is the main difference so you may just be able to buy the upper instead of the whole upper+lower. I've heard of people running the stage 2 on the stock short block but I would check with TFS just to make sure and the track heat is not emissions legal. The stage 1 is pretty lumpy... I'm curious how much lumpier the stage 2 is. hehe

No problem JMD, good luck with your setup and let us know your results! I'll be running almost the same setup as you in a few months and would appreciate your opinion once yours is installed.
