Trickflow plenum whistling

Just installed a new Trickflow plenum and ported and polished TB the other day, and Ive noticed a whistling/squealing from the intake around 1800-2200 rpms when driving. Is this normal? Anyone else have this problem?

Very normal. You might pull the cai tube off and open the t/b. look to see if there is a lip around where the t/b meets the plenum (plenum smaller than t/b) or if a gasket is in the air way. Both can cause slight wistles. I wouldn't worry about it.

As long as you don't have a vacuum leak (high idle) you are fine.

^^ What they said. Mine whistles too, I think. Or at least it used to, or I used to hear it and not anymore. I'll listen for it today.

my accufab made that sound at the same exact rpm. i never new where it was coming from until i ended up taking off the TB/plenum combo to sell it. Then it was gone. It's pretty common, i never had any problems with it otherwise.

yea I have the trick flow plenum and a 75mm thottle body. It whistles like crazy. Every time I go to the track someone asks me how many pounds of boost I'm running....

Mine never whistled. 'Course I RTV'd mine to the TB and intake.
