I have decided that I will be getting the trickflow top end kit from summit racing for 2249.95 + shipping or from ebay for 2249.98 including shipping, at summit and trickflow they recommend a 70mm throttle body, the kit on ebay says to use a 75mm throttle body, summit doesn't have a fuel pump recommendation but trickflow says to use a 190 and the one on ebay says 255, and trickflow and ebay recommend 24lb injectors while summit recommends 30lb injectors, that is my question, which ones should I go with as far as injectors, throttlebody size and fuel pump size?

Trick Flow was also the only one that stated the 350/370 hp/tq was obtained with a 9.5 to 1 306.

I am kind of leaning towards a 76mm maf, 24lb.hr injectors, 75mm throttlebody/EGR spacer and the 255lph fuel pump, just want to see what some of you recommend as I bet some of you have the trickflow kit, and I don't plan on any other mods in the future either. Thanks for any help

70mm or 75mm TB wont make much difference......70 will be fine
190lph or 255lph pump will be fine, only costs a few bucks more for the 255, might as well get the bigger on.
Ide get 24# injectors, just me.

i must agree the 24 will be more than enough. i would go with the 255 pump too. that way of you ever add a blower or whatever the pump will support it. my buddy got a 302 with the top end kit on it, he dynoed at 324hp and 319 tq. just to let you know what you might expect.

i have the top end kit. Love it

75mm throttle body with 30lb injectors and 255 pump
Like he said, you might as well get the 255
and i say the same for the throttle body, just to keep the air traveling through smoothly.
otherwise you will have a 70mm peice going onto a 75.
no biggy, just my thought
might as well

since I don't plan to add any other power adders after the trickflow topend kit shouldn't I just get the 190lph fuel pump? I think I am going to go with the 76mm maf, the 75mm throttlebody, 24lb injectors and the 190lph fuel pump as I don't plan on any other mods other than a cold air intake, my only other mods will be suspension mods and wheels.

You will not need the 75mm throttle body...but if you get a good deal on it, go for it. A 65 or 70 will flow plenty for the 302.

190lph or 255lph is fine, 24lb injectors great, maf is good as well...

Now get it and get some dyno numbers

Dyno/track numbers will vary depending on how many accessories you run and what tranny you have.

isn't the throttlebody opening on the trickflow intake 75mm, if so wouldn't it restrict it to add on a 70mm throttlebody, if it wouldn't restrict flow the 70mm would prolly be better for throttle control though, right?

Yeah the TFS intakes are 75mm, some are 90mm (wish I had the 90mm version )

Anyway, I had a 75mm tb on my tfs street heat intake (as recommended by my cam grinder Ed Curtis), no throttle issues at all, drove amazingly perfect Been there/done that.

Im running STOCK TB, injectors, MAF and ignition with my TFS kit. Still manages to trap at 106mph with no tune. Not saying there isnt much more to be had with bigger stuff, just saying that its possible.

+1 see my sig for no suspension mods, bigger TB but a stock 55mm maf and injectors i will upgrade all of this this summer but for now thats what i got and its strong enough to smoke camaro's all day long... definatly get gears if you dont have them already it helps the power to kick in sooner

Definately get gears. The TFS kit doesn't really shine till 3k+... which when you are getting on it is where you probably want the power to be. If you get a TKO600 you will definately need gears because the 1st and 2nd are geared much higher than the T5... I am going through that right now...

i have basically the same kit. the stage one cam really shines above 3000 rpm. the 373's in my car feel perfectly matched to it.

Nah, it won't restrict it at all. A 70mm TB flows way more than a 302 can even bring in with no restrictions.

Look inside your intake after the throttle body location, it necks down further than 70mm...

I have a 1988 mustang that i just rebuilt the engine with pretty much just new stock parts. it is still speed density but i plan on chaging it to maf soon. I have been looking into Head can intake kits and im leaning to Trickflow. but im not sure if im going to need to get a new tranny right now i have a 91 W/C T-5 that was rebuilt and has about 2000 miles on it. i also have the stock fuel system #19 injectors. If i where to get this kit what do i have to change and what would i want to change?
