Hey guys, I've heard a rumor floating around that some 99 cobras had 'problems' with the heads? Any truth in this? I say 'problems' vaguely simply because thats all i've heard. No concrete issues, just that there was trouble with them. I'm going to be inthe market for a 99 cobra in three months and I would really appreciate any info you guys may have on the subject. Thanks!

No issues with the heads at all. There was an issue with the lower intake, and there was a recall for that problem.

Thinking....there was something going around about the 03 Cobra heads for a short time. Maybe that got confused with being an issue with the 99 Cobra's.

Us poor 99 Cobra guys get all the bad press

The 99 heads had a problem with the valve seats being out of round and not sealing very well. Not all of them had this problem. I dont remember if anyone narrowed down the production dates for these casting.
