trouble with stock radio

the other day i took my bullitt out for a hour and when i got back i went to get my cd out of the cd player and it froze and said cd error. it has happened to me before but not as bad. i realized that the radio was extremely hot. i was wondering if this happen to anyone else. and how can i fix this. i want to keep the interior all stock. it has the 460 mach in it. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Repetedly tap on the screan with a nuckle while pressing the eject button. Sometimes you have to hit it pretty hard. That will almost always get it un stuck. Don't worry about breaking it I punched my old one a few times and it always spit out the cd eventually. I got a used stock one off ebay eventually from a low milage car, it has worked fine since then. You can use the mach 460 head unit from a bunch of different cars. I just matched up the plugs in the picture with the plugs on the one they were selling.

give it back

hey my stock 460 does that all the time,,,

i use a business card and stick it in just to the left of the center of cd slot and wiggle,,,

if by chance the cd is up high enough to see just make sure the business card is on top of the cd,,,,,something with the eject wheel not grabbing the cd

Same here. The cd is always up high enough to see. I keep tweezers in the glove box and can pull out the cd carefully by the very edge. Yeah, it sucks. :notnice:
