troubleshooting question

Yesterday I changed out the front left wheel bearing..earlier I was getting a groaning/grinding noise from the front left during hard left cornering, I suspected a wheelbearing. so I changed it out. the inner bearing was toast so I was convinced that was it. I replaced it ,torqed it down correctly. so I took it out for drive and damned if the noise was still there, I went back and rechecked the torque ..no change...wtf...
could it be a bushing the the A-arm or something ..
have any ideas..

Could it be something like the tire rubbing. Check to see if anything look's like it has rub marks anywhere.

The left side was making noise when making hard left turns? That doesn't sound right...

Did you take the right side apart and check those bearings? Alot of times even though the noise "sounds" like it's coming from one side it's actually coming from the other. Have run into this many times.

im with Big B and Jess (i think). when turning left, the left tire should be "light" (the right side being compressed). that dont sound right, as Jess said.

in lookin at your mods, i have no idea since im not conversant with those products (i was just confirming what you said, so that the big boys who posted above me could help ya).

Sorry , my mistake...


Originally the problem was a bad bearing sound from the front right passenger side, while make left hand turns...I changed out the bearing and both the inner and outer bearing showed signs of wear, however the spindle looked just fine. I replaced the bearing and races, torqued it all down right , then test drove it, the problem/noise it still there. I then jacked it up again ..rechecked the torque, drove it , no change in noise..so Im thinking since the noise didnt changed with the level of torque I placed on the bearing pack , it prolly isnt the bearing right,
so what else could it be,
any ideas..
I doubt it could be the tire rubbing since I havnt changed the size or anyting like that, maybe a-arm bushings...?
