troubleshooting?

If I hit the throttle really quick and let off the engine will act like its going to die and then puff out a little smoke smells like gas. Driving the car it seems ok, but my gas mileage has went down a few miles to a gallon. This is a 98 cobra/vortech supercharged anyone got any ideas?

Bad batch of gas, spark plugs, fuel filter, etc.

Check all your piping. I had a similar problem w/ my car and it ended up being the maf connection to my powerpipe.
