I would like suggestions on how to eliminate the trunk rattle from the subwoofer. It's a 93 convertible. I had to replace one of the missing trunk bumpers at the corner and I adjusted the catch for the latch so the lid is pulled down good and tight against the bumpers. I still get a rattle. I't not the tag or tag frame. When I push down hard over the latch area of the lid I can get the rattle to stop. But the latch is already adjusted as tight as possible. So, I'm looking for other ways.

It's not terrible thing for me to live with because sitting in the car you don't hear the rattle. You only hear it when standing behind the car. Even then, Id rather make it stop so it doesnt sound like crap to passers by.

It's associated with the lid. When I open the lid, this particular rattle goes away and some other become audible. But I want to solve the one that happens with the lid closed.

Any suggestions?

The spring rods that hold up the lid may need a piece of rubber hose where they cross and on the ends where they hook on those metal tabs

You could dyno mat the lid, that will help tremendously.
