Trunk emblem flaking...

Is the emblem on anyone else's trunk flaking? The black paint on mine is starting to chip off for no apparent reason. Think a dealer would replace the emblem under warranty? Or is there somewhere where I can order a new one?

ya, mine started to chip, i just took all the paint off with steel wool, and I like it much better now.

You can get an overlay here. Personally I would get the GT logo again, but in with the GT logo red. It'd be a subtle difference that most wouldn't notice.

I wonder if it's an '07 thing; Mine is doing it too. I bought a new take-off to replace it, although those of course don't have the adhesive on the back. Anyway, the new take-off has a clear cover over the center area.

Did you try to see if they would replace it under warranty first? I'm bringing mine in for an oil change this week and I'm going to ask them if they can replace it under warranty.

Just got back from the dealer and they're going to replace it under warranty. Just have to wait a week for it to come in.
