I'm getting very confused about the choices that are available right now with my setup. I have a '00 S281SC, I think it's a series 1 blower. I spoke to Joe at Chicane about adding an upgraded intercooler that he makes (sits under the blower) He mentioned that I do not have to upgrade my tune with this, but he also said that if I add a pulley, I DO NOT have to go to 42# injectors. He said that I could add a boost a pump, pulley, intercooler upgrade, and a good tune and I'll be more than fine. I had already purchased a Focus pump, but have not installed it yet. I want the car stock appearing aside from my Densecharger intake.
Here are my questions,
1)Will a boost-a-pump make my stock fuel pump overload and die?
2) Has anyone bought this $600 intercooler and what kind of results did you get?
3) Will the stock 30# really keep up with adding any more power?

If anyone has this setup, or has done some research on this stuff let me know!!
Thanks
Ryan

I just bought the Focus pump also. I talked to Joe at Chicane and Mark at Performance Autosport. Both guys told me that the focus pump would be fine even after adding the chicane pulley. They also said the 30lb injectors would be fine too. I'm eventually gonna get the Chicane intercooler. I've heard of gains between 30-40 HP. I've researched this stuff a lot. Click on my signature and you can see what modifications I've done.

I have the Chicane intercooler installed. At the time I also had an Accufab TB installed. Joe installed both for me. I then took the car home and removed the heat exchanger and cleaned it. End result was 50hp at the wheels. Most of that, I'm sure, was the Intercooler.

Joe was going to post some pictures of my old intercooler on his website to show how much the air was flowing around the thing. The heated air was leaving dark trails around the outside of it. It was pretty bad. Which reminds me, I still need to get that back from him.

As far as the BAP, according to KB, the bap actually extends the life of the pump because the bap regulates the electrical current to the pump. There are a couple of articles linked on their site about that.

Not sure about the injectors question though.

I have Joe's RIP Kit, 66MM pulley 30lb injectors and Focus fuel pump. I have no problems fuel wise. I dont know about the $600 cooler It was tooooo much cash and to much work for me for the boost in HP it gives you. I am considering the Snow kit which I am told by Snow has the same effect 1/2 the price, 1/4 the install time. So I am told...
