Try Y headers.

I want to get some try y's on my 65 GT. ANyone know of a good place to get ceramic coated or stainless?

someone got these a few weeks ago i think. they look good to me and they are ceramic. tri-y headers

edit: site's down at the moment, but should be back up in a few hours i would imagine.

you may wanna think abuot different style headers dude...not trin to scare you but when i ordered my tri y's like a month ago and installed them, well they dont just drop in like people may say. they shall be shot for saying that.
i had to jack the engine up, scoot the engine forward, installing that pwr steering bracket thats requird for pwr steering, and one radiator hose and fan later, i cant fully turn left. only about half a turn and thats it. it takes a while to park and no more U turns either lol. my pitman arm hits the header!

im currently tring to find a solution (please help me...anybody) as this is my daily driver.

Here's a solution: Take your motor and trans out and stick them in a Ranger The Tri-Y's I'm runnin on my 331 stroker-sixpack in an 89 Ranger fit perfectly. Nothing touches them, the left side will fall thru the truck if you don't hold it up when installing the bolts Even with the Canfield head's 1/2" raised exhaust ports, they fit perfectly. The Ranger is my daily driver

I HAVE the ceramic tri-y's from Mustangsunlimited...

I posted pics...search using my username.

I like mine...went in fairly simple...I was there when the shop did mine...they were doing all new exhaust, and new floor pans...

They did have to loosen the motor mounts and adjust the engine, as it was not centered in the engine bay.

Not that big a deal.. loosen 2 bolts.. and adjust side to side...

They fit well.

I do NOT have power steering and mine is an AUTO so I cannot comment other than this scenario.

Get them you will like them in the end...

Go ahead and get a shop to do it, because your existing exhaust will not bolt up...if you have stock manifolds...my shop charged me like 75 extra to remove manifolds and install the tri-y's.

worth the 75 to not have to worry about it...and they go in easier on pass side from the bottom.

I do not believe that ANY header is going to just drop into place on a car that old..the engine could be out of line like mine was, any number of things...

i don't think it matters about the power steering only to the bracket you need the pitman arm is still the same on both ( with or without ) ---- did you look at the pitarm to se if it hits or how far it is away -- if you could i would like to know thanks
