The issue at hand is a vortech s trim blower (loud version) and a stock 5.0 motor. When i start the car i hear a squeel but its hard to find where it is coming from over the sound of the blower. Everyone i get to help says its the blower but its def. not. The squeeling only occurs at a start up for the initial start up ( like 3 seconds) then disappears until i start it again. Sometimes will not do it when hot. Also put a new belt and belt tensioner on because i thought that was the problem.

They make new pistons every day, so why worry?

Remove the blower belt. The car can run w/out the blower spinning. Should be much easier to identify your noise.

Nah, it'll be fine. If you start driving around with the belt off you may run on the rich side, but if you're doing it just at idle (where you wouldn't be into boost) just to isolate a sound, you'll be just fine.
