People only get canned tunes for the O/R pipes in order to not have a CEL come on. Some tuners turn it off for their CAIs, so you may not have a problem.

The only way to actually tune for the O/R pipe is to get a custom dyno tune, which is pretty worthless for just eliminating your cats.

You can also buy MIL eliminators, which will prevent a CEL form coming on.

this is the route i went. no problems with it at all. i bought them at the same time as the pipe, so it was only $50 more.

I bought the Pypes O/R H-Pipe from Brent (Brenspeed.com) and he emailed me a custom tune to go along with this. Granted it is considered a "canned" tune because it was not dyno tuned for my vehicle but i felt a HUGE different over the stock "canned" tune on the Xcal2.. His was more than just turning off the 2 sensors..

It's funny how HP can be emailed these days

I installed my offroad prochamber the day before installing the JLT CAI and xcal flash and I got no check engine light and the car seemed to run fine. I felt a definite increase in power when installing the CAI and flash, the exhaust got louder as well. Brent programmed my xcal for the prochamber before it was shipped.
