When I got my GTS last year I put a new fuel filter, new plugs, wires, dist & rotor cap and a pcv valve. I would check the timing, flush the cooling system and put some fresh fluid in the tranny & rearend. While you got stuff apart go ahead and remove the intake air silencer and put in a K&N. This should keep you busy for awhile.
When you're checking the timing also inspect the harmonic balancer as the stock ones are prone to come apart. You can get underneath and feel the back of the balancer and if you feel rubber coming out then it's time for a new one.
