Wifey says her 2001 v6 auto. isn't running as quick as it did new. Soo I'm going to give her a tune up. Who makes performance wires for it(part# would be nice :nice: )? Guess motorcraft plugs? New fuel filter. Already cleaned the K&N Filter and sprayed out the Throttle body and swapped out the thermostat to a cooler one. Any other suggestions?

Fuel filter is worth changing, I felt it pep up after I did that. As far as wires stick with fords wires, I bought the MSD 8mm wires and they didn't make a damn difference, so if I had to buy again it would be stock wires and save some coin. Carb/intake cleaner might be worth while as well

I had to replace the plugs in my old stang, I replaced with just the bosch platinum 2 plugs, pain in the butt getting to them, but they seemed to work very well. Never had a problem with them (for the 2 weeks I had them b4 a 76 yr old decided to run a red light and total it for me.... :uzi: )

Thanks for the replys.
01White5-Speed who is JBA wires?
The local speed shop here didn't have any listings for the v6 01stang for wires from Accell,Msd,taylor or Ford Motorsports.

do not use carb cleaner in the T-body. it may come in contact with the plastic plunger in the IAC and dissolve it, making your car run like crap. carb cleaners are not very plastic friendly

Denso iridium plugs are really expensive but last a lifetime IT-18 would be the correct plug for you

don`t go with any bosch platinum they have been nothing but junk in my experience the platinum erodes away within 40,000 miles on every car i`ve put them in, including a 4.0SOHC explorer which takes about 3 hours to change plugs on and my old 3800 seriesII 97 firebird which is near impossible to change the passenger side plugs
