Tuner Question

I am finally getting my Street Racer/SCT kit from Bama today. I gave Doug my calibration code, but I bought the car slightly used with 7k miles. I am assuming it was never reflashed at the dealer, but I do not know for sure. Is there potential that I can get stuck if the code is wrong? Or can I just reflash the stock tune since I saved it on the SCT? I don't really want to have to call Doug to make sure my code is right if I do not absolutely have to. Thanks.

The SCT will download the stock tune currently on the car and store it. It wouldn't hurt to dowload the stock file to your computer for back-up purposes.

About the dealer re-flashing the computer, I assume the cal code would still be the same. Maybe someone else here knows for sure that has had that procedure performed by a dealer.

I am very pleased with the Race tune and C&L from Doug at Bama. The car has come to life some now... I had to come off of the timing a little due to pinging, but my car has always been prone to ping. Just FYI...long wait, but worth it and Doug is very helpful.

Glad to hear you're liking your CAI and tune. Really not a bad deal for the improved throttle response and HP/Torque gains.
