Hey guys i just finished my motor build and its all broken in with a couple thousand miles on it and its ready to go. The car is completely untuned right now and runs pretty rough and im looking to get some sort of tuning system. My boy has a kenne bell sn95 and we used the tweecer RT to tune his car. after a lot of tweaking (a week on an off) it ran great. But it was 500 bucks and he needed a wideband aswell (250$). I was considering an SCT setup with that adjustable knob so i can run reg and prem. fuel. I know a guy in the area who's a rep for superchips and builds bada$$ ford motors. My question is does anyone have experience with this system on a Fox and how are the results? The car would be tuned on a dyno, but im wondering if i should even bother with a piggy back system? Any help, experience or results would be awesome! thanks guys mods are in sig.

A piggy back system if you've got a host of other mods in your future. A custom chip and dyno if you just want it to run it's best and don't plan for any significant future mods. If you do have significant mods planned but they're a "one shot" do it and be done kind of deal, then I'd still suggest a custom burn. It'll normally only cost you around $100 for a reburn once you own the chip. Mail order chips where you give them a little info and they burn you a tune are crap and not worth the money they cost in even shipping. To my knowledge, the SCT chips for the Fox are one of these. Those handheld units you see int he mags are not for our computers. If you want a piggy-back and your tune just needs a little "teaking", I'd suggest the Anderson PMS. If you're going to require an infinite amount of control over your tune and don't mind getting your brain dirty and leariing then the TwEEcer. Have I left anything out?

I prefer the pms or the tweecer. They are 2 very potent devices. They achieve a similar effect but do it in a different way. The pms is hands down WAY more user friendly. Each device has some things that the other can't do. The pms doesn't require a laptop either. The pms has standalone mode where its not just adding/subtracting from the stock eec. The pms is more expensive also but you can find them used for great prices which is what I did. I stole mine for $410 shipped. I would not waste any money on a chip.

Yea well i already know most of the basics involved in the tweecer and like u said it has by far the steepest learning curve and requires a LOT of research. thats why i was trying to look away from that right now and consider other options. I havent heard very much about the PMS but i am very interested and im going to do some research on it. Does the PMS work off of your PC at home with a software program or is there absoultely NO computer involved? I do like having all the control and precision the tweecer gives you but i dont like how you basically have to buy the 500 dollar RT version to make it worth it. Unless you can real time 14 gauges at one time and data log its no good to me so the non RT version is way too much trouble for what u get ..... especially for only 100 dollars less. But it seems like the SCT system may not be the best route. There is a supercharger in the future but mostlikey would be done all at once...so the SCT system may seem feasible. I guess i need to do some serious research here!! lame....thanks for the help guys...any more feedback would be greatly appreciated.

The pms plugs into your eec harness and kinda intercepts it. It has a hand held device where you do the tuning from. I've been on the highway doing 70mph and I've changed my tune. Its just that easy :) On the handheld it shows you maf voltage, timing, what the O2 sensors are doing ect. The new 04 PMS is etter, I have the older model though.

www.stangtuning.com for more info. Look in the PMS section and search around.
