Turbo coupe axle replacement

I don't think the 86 TC cars had ABS. Do you mean a 87-88 TC? If it is a 87-88 TC, then no, you can not just use the Mustang axles since the TC ones are 3/4" longer. The Mustang ones will not work with the stock rear disc brakes. Maybe try looking on www.car-part.com for an axle.

Well, you have a couple of options. Order some axles from one of the companies in the length you need, or if you already have some Mustang axles, get the www.northracecars.com brackets to mount the calipers on the shorter axles. Of course that will move your wheels in 3/4". You could also modify the stock mounting bracket and bolt it inside the axle housing flange like in this thread:

Good luck on it!

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but I have questions, I got this through the search function so I didn't have to bother, but all the links are DEAD that describe this so called "bracket flip" mod.

I have a set of TC rear discs I want to put on a Fox 8.8", and need to know how this mod works so I can get it done.
Any help?
Any detailed links that still work?

Thanks!
