I found an 88 turbo coupe 5 speed sitting in a driveway. I asked the kid if he wanted to sell it and he told me that it had problems such as a blown head gasket and the plugs are fouling out. Now depending on what is really wrong with it may not be so drastic as to do a head gasket change. He told me before it had the problems he wanted 1600. But now since it needs work he told me 900. I really dont think he knew what price to give me because he took a long time to think about it and he didn't seem too sure. Anyone suggest me going up there with 500 cash in hand showing it to him?

$500 for the whole car? I would do it, you could make more than $500 selling the rest of the car parts on ebay (brakes, suspension, engine parts are in working order).
