OK, this is more of a rant then anything else, but Why the hell did ford make all the clamp on turbo hoses different sizes? I dont have ANY of the original hoses for the turbocoupe turbo system, but the Vane air meter outlet is like 3" the turbo inlet is like 2 3/4" So im gonna have to piece something together i think, And the throttle body and the turbo outlet are different sizes too. I need all of this stuff to seal so i hate to just piece stuff together with lots of clamps.. One of my problems is the Turbo to TB connection.... the Turbo neck i have Says FORD on it, so i pretty sure its for this application, but they dont seem to line up at all. Since i havent come up with a workable intercooler solution yet i was just gonna run without for a while. here are some pics.. Sorry for the crappy quality, its raining out and i had to use the flash.
Heres how it sits....
here is the Gap between the Intake, and Turbo outlet.
Another Angle
So i need to find a hose to connect from the VAM to the turbo inlet (different sizes on both ends) And a hose to temporarily join the turbo to the throttle body.
