Turbo kits? Automatic Trannys?

How strong is the V6 auto tranny? Are there any Turbo kits for the 99+ V6? If so, what are the gains and would they work on the stock auto tranny? Thanks for any info.

tranny will be fine, you need to worry about the rear end, and theres plenty of turbo kits out there

Thanks. Anyone got more info? Which is the best turbo kit? What are the gains? What else must be bought (rear end pieces, etc) to make it safe on a 2004? All the kits I've seen say 99-01... They won't work on 04s?

get 8.8 rear end off a gt, and you hsould be set... I know somebody out there has the website or e-mail for that guy thats making a kit for about 3000k? and you get some nice gains with a turbo you might also want to get some, 3.73 gears, cus the turbo is laggy...

With the turbo on an automatic V6, what should I be running? The price of a turbo + V6 is about the price of a stock GT, maybe a little more. It has a definate rare factor about it though! Will it be faster then the stock GT though?

I knew that Vortec had a supercharger kit back about 2 years ago...not sure if they still have it. It ran about 2800 to 3000.
