so cal
ok heres the problem....I really want to turbo(hellion T76)my ride but my brakes are 100% stock and I alrdy have a 331stroker and stoping lets just say isnt all that good.!! On the brake side i want to run baers GT-Plus 14" brakes up front with a custom 18 rim, I drive the car once every weekend and it hasnt seen the track I think I should Turbo the SOB... what do you all think i should get first??? Thanks

I think that you'll have a lot of replies saying turbo, but I think you should do brakes for sure. You've got good power already, my take on it is that a Mustangs brakes, chassis and suspension need work before the drivetrain. But thats just me.

...Brakes.

What's hard about a 14" (front) setup? Just get the proper hubs and spindles, calipers and a rim to fit it, and there ya go.

IF YOU ARE GOING TO RUN THE CAR, I suggest brakes now / turbo later. You're already running on ****ty brakes, and you'll appreciate them much more once they're installed.

Flip a coin. haha. I run a 347 with nitrous on the crap stock brakes..........but man its a scary thought to run up on something and not have enough brake!

Dude its bad enough alrdy, when i run it the MOFO doesnt want to stop lol
got to down shift hard....hahah flip a coin hhmmm....

stock replacement autozone pads with the lifetime warranty.....and the turbo.....best of both worlds....if your driving the car daily on the street, you really shouldnt need amazing brakes that stop on a dime, because the stock fox brakes can handle 60-70 mph stops easily....unless you do 80+mph in traffic regularly...then i say get both

We all get the urge to hit it sometimes even if we dont pass 60mph we all get that person who just randomly brakes in front of us, or we underestimate the turn and cant slow down enough before the turn comes, cant ever have too much power, but brakes would be the most important thing right now. Now are 14" brakes necessary? I wouldnt think so, but an upgrade should be more then welcome.

Now are 14" brakes necessary? I wouldnt think so...No they are not but do you see many 5.0's with 14" rotors on 18"..i sure the hell dont, i just want to stand out thats all. I dont want to be that oohh just another 5.0. But yeah im leaning towards the brakes and rims now, as said above whats a car worth if its wrecked!! thanks for your advise:nice:
