I was planning on adding a single turbo setup to my stang. I was wondering how much boost can I run before I blow the engine up and what type of setup would be good. I am planning on adding T/F Twistede Wedge heads and will be tunning it with a Tweecer R/T. is there anything that I need to do befor I do the turbo setup. Thanks in advance for all of the help.

You can run as much boost as you want, just depends on the tune.. If your seeing 15#'s with h/c/i, ur likely gonna split the block. I would say 8-10 is a good ammount, and you will make tons of power with heads and cam. Just remember that boost is just a measure of backpressure.

If your tunning with a tweecer, be sure to get a Wideband, so you know what ur air/fuel ratio actually is.

I poped a HG after running my turbostang for 4 nights. My own fault though, was running it without a tune and beating on it. I am getting it dyno tuned on friday though.

No, the tweecer does not tell acurate air/fuel ratio. You need a wideband. I had a tweecer RT but decided to get rid of it, because tuning with boost is not somehting i want to mess around with.

If you buying used, you can save some cash.

I got my whole PTK kit used for 2400, the cold side was recoated before i got it. Everything in great shape. I picked up the SC61 turbo new from precision for 750(polished compressor cover).

So 2400+750 = 3150 total for the turbo part.

Yes you will need a new MAF, and bigger injectors. I would run 42#'ers, dont forget fuel pumops too!
