Turbo swaps and emissions

With all the talk of swapping Turbo's in place of the N/A 2.3 how do you pass emissions (if your state has them)

As long as it meets regular emissions laws of the state it'll pass like any other car.

I am lucky enough to be living in an area that does not worry about emissions. But just like tealtiger said, look at your local laws and make sure that you meat at least the minimum and you will be fine.

Does Tennesee even have smog laws? I live in California, the worst smog laws in the country! I'll need to go to a referee. I'll tell them the motor is out of an 89 Merkur. They came stock with turbos. I need to hook up all the smog equipment that the Merk had, EGR, EGR solenoid, charcol cannister, catalytic converter and all associated tubes and hoses. Hopefully, that'll do it!
