I've been thinking about picking up a later model 2.3 5spd. (90-93ish) and putting a turbo setup in it. I have seen a lot on the TC engine swaps and whatnot but is it feesible to just put a turbo on the motor and tune it with it's current computer? I ask this because I like the mass air system and feel it's better than the vane system the SVO's and TC's use. Please correct me if I am wrong here. I would definately freshen up the bottom end with some forged gear. Also with the heads, I know that there was a dual plug head, now I would rather have the single plug head on there, does anyone know what years or whatever that the dual plugs came in? Any input would be awesome. I am relly looking for an 86 SVO, but those seem to be extremely hard to find in the condition I want around here. Also some good sites with info would be great too. thanks! I am determined to beat my buddies at their own game in their SRT-4s and WRXs:D

You can always do the regular LA3-computered standard turboswap and then get an EEC tuner later on. That'll let you run a MAF. Probably more trouble than it's worth, though.
