Turn Signal Flasher

I have a 1991 LX 5.0 convertible. The turn signals sporadically work. Emergency flasher works fine.

Was is the easiest way to find the turn signal flasher? If I remove the radio, will I see the flasher?

My book says its above the fuse box, but I can't find it!!

I've heard ford used a few different locations for the flasher, mine was between the steering col an the radio. It was hard to find because it was blue against a blue dash.

In my 90 its behind the glove box, just drop it down and it was sittin right in there to the left.

+1 in my '93 it is in the same spot if it still clicks when you turn on your signals, listen for it, it will help you locate it. I also upgraded mine to the ones that semi's use, their design is better. You can buy them at most truck stops. You should be able to see it by looking below the glove box it is attached to the wiring harness that runs there.

Mine was behind the glove box toward the console. I changed mine from a thermal one to an electronic one too, More consistent blinking

Might want to check your ignition switch, too. Failing turn signals while the hazards still work is a tell-tale symptom.

Does your HVAC fan work? If it does not, I would look real hard at the ignition switch.

mine was attached behind the center console, looked factory, it was green try kneeling on the ground on the passenger side and getting your head under the glove box with a flashlight
