I took my turn signal switch (94 mustang) apart, to repaint stalk and the hazard switch. As I was holding the two halves in my hands, a spring popped out. I've reassembled it so many times, while looking around for this spring's spot. I can't find anything. This spring is about the same size as the spring which operates the hazard switch. It's slightly thicker, with a greenish color. Does anyone have any idea where this could go? Someone who's been in this situation before? Any help would be hugely appreciated. I'm totally lost, and have no idea what to do with this.

I have no idea on how to correct your problem. But if you get nowhere using the forums, try buying a Haynes or a Chiltons manual. They have just about EVERYTHING for your car in there that you might need.

If the switch still works, just leave the spring out of it. If it doesn't, you'll probably have to buy a new switch. The switch isn't designed to be disassembled, even by the dealer. A manual won't be any help there, either.
