Question 1. Is there a law that says turn signals must be amber in color.
If answer is no...
Question 2. Is there a good type of paint I could use to "black out" my turn signals.
Question 3. Would this look okay?

I hate the MII turnsignals/grille lights... all big and square... I'm always trying to think of ways for elimination of them...

i think that techinally, it's illegal. but as long as it is clearly visable when your single is on, then you shouldn't have a problem. at worst, you'll get a fix-it ticket.

Front facing turn signals must be amber in color only. Rear facing turn signals can be amber or red.

What you could do, is what my brother did on his car. He made custom clear lenses, and put in amber bulbs. Looks nice than the stock setup.

I have seen a spray that tints lenses. That might be legal.

It doesn't fix their square and uglyness.

(but they're still amber)

Yeah I would love to do something like that to my car someday. Its not the amber that bothers me, its the square uglyness.... I was just wanting to "camo" them in black.

You could mask an oval (or circle, or smiley face, or rocker hand sign) in the center of each turn signal and shoot the rest of the reflector with black BBQ paint.

Hmm. . . . if it doesn't rain this weekend, I may do that and see how it looks.

Take the turn signal bezels off and paint them black. You'll be surprised how much smaller they will look.
