Turndown Question

I have flowmasters welded in to the stock (2.25 inch) catback. I got hunks of metal..um..turndowns for christmas, but they are 2.5 inch. Since these are welded on, not bolted at a flange, will these fit the mufflers?

turn downs 2.5 inch mufflers 2.25 inch. i think u are going to have to make up 1/4 inch somewhere maybe a small adapter piece

probably be easier to return the ones i have and exchange for smaller ones

Muffler shop can slide them OVER the pipe on the muffler and weld them on that way. Shouldn't be a big problem.

Did this on my old stang: The shop I go to put a 5-6inch adaptor peice in there between the muffler and the pipe which goes from 2.25 to 2.5 inchs. It will be no problem, and your car will sound great.

If you can, exchange them for some 2.25" ID turn-downs and muffler clamps. Otherwise I'm sure a muffler shop could make them work.
