From what I recall, the J4J1 (Cobra) tune is typically more forgiving of mods than the T4M0 (GT) tune. I'm running them on my GT now with very few drivability issues. It's more so the cam that freaks them out, but nothing that can't be tuned out. IIRC, anything below a 112° lobe separation angle on the cam is what starts the headaches.

Just changing the heads? leaving everything else stock it will run fine, but you are leaving a ton of power on the table that way.

I agree about the cam and lower lsa's causing issues

I can see how the additional air flow might cause an issue or two but as said here, I'd think they would be minor.

I agree ... you will not be getting all you could

You'd gain the most by not worrying about the cams lsa or pcm freakin out
but
You'd also gain the most drivability issues along with the power

Those drivability issues can be tuned away but with a cost

It seems there is A L W A Y S some kind of compromise ... don't it

It depends on what other mods you've done. Usually most people bolt on heads after they've done other external bolt-on mods (CAI, MAF, TB, pulley(s), headers, mid-pipe, exhaust), so the gain with the TW's in such a case would be something like 65rwhp.

With only swapping those GT40's for TFS heads I'd guess somewhere
in the range of 20 to 25 more
