i have the tweecer installed and when i try to read or write to the tweecer while it is plugged into the eec i get a communication error. but as soon as i unplug the tweecer from the EEC i can then write to the tweecer. am i missing something?

I had a similiar problem to yours. I kept getting a bin error or something when I tried to write to the tweecer while installed to the EEC. You have to contact Mike Glover, but basically either a) your EEC is bad or b) you gotta hook up a separate 12 volt source to your KAM power.

At least thats what Mike G. said to me.

Make sure the pins on the Tweecer interface are clean and you have a good metal to metal contact between them and the service port pins on your pcm.

You don't want any of that clear varnish looking coating you sometimes see on printed circuit boards or any of that dielectric grease stuff on those pins.

IM gonna assume that he got it used so there is probably not an issue with that.

i cleaned it just like they said with alcohol, and a couple cotton tips. the guy over at tweecer support told me that the first 75 base units that they shipped out were having the exact same symptoms that i am having now. hopefully he takes care of it..

TwEECer costomer support :nice:

the tweecer still works. if i take the tweecer off the EEC and write to the tweecer, and put it back on the EEC the tune will work, i just can't write while the tweecer is connected. weird.
