so i'm tired of finding a good maf and i want to start self tuning.

question is can i eliminate the maf and tune in speed density with tweecer?

i ran my car for 6 months with the maf unplugged(stock cam) so i know the car can run without one. is there a way to recalibrate "limp mode"?

I guess anything is possible Ben

Not sure how you would get that done.

Not even sure if there is any bin or cal file I have seen with EEC Tuner or Tweecer ... at least I don't remember seeing any talk about it

These days the accuracy is back for the old ProM 80 with the new PMAS 80mm meter. I've seen several say they worked out great for them.

You have several other maf choices that should not give you too many probs as well.

As for maf issues, my findings have been ..............

Once you get the curve reasonable close for Closed Loop tune you really don't deal with maf issues other than final WOT/WB fuel ratio dialing in on the opposite end of the curve which is pretty straight forward IMHO.

I did it once with my oem stocker which was tweeced to output a bit more flow to the full range of 4.99999 volts and also work with 30lb injectors.

Did it again when I got my ProM 80mm 30lb caled meter.

I've seen others struggle with bad caled meters, C&L's or others with no known data to build a curve from.

Heck ... These days, many have put up curves for C&L's so even if you do choose to use one of them ... others have paved the way a bit for you

Let us know what you come up with

Grady
