Does anyone know of any tweecer tuners in the ny area? I have called a bunch of places and they say they dont work with the tweecer. I cant figure it out for the life of me and I need this thing up and running already.

i could probably give you a hand...im in Central NY....syracuse.

I have tuned my car with the tweecer system. Runs pretty well.

What about it are you having a hard time with? I haven't tuned a centri blower with the tweecer...but i did help tune a kenne bell 5.0 with tweecer software.

basically im having trouble with everything. I cant figure out how to tell it what tb I have. I also dont know anything about trimming the injectors and how to set the timing for boost so I dont blow any head gaskets.

Do you have EECAnalyzer? The help file in there is pretty good for setting tb air flow. link Also, if you are using calcon/caledit, I'd highly recommend getting rid of it and use bineditor. Same site. If you use the free version of eecanalyzer, you won't be able to load in your datalogs and have it calculate it for you, but again, the help file should walk you through.
I also know there is a post on EECTuning.org • Index page that covers it. I'll see if I can find a link.

Check out the help files though. They are unlocked in the free version and I know it covers base throttle body air flow. Also, you can build your tune in the free binaryeditor and save the bin and only use caledit to load it to the tweecer. It will make your life much easier. You wouldn't believe how much more there is in binaryeditor vs the calcrap programs. More scalars(and actually labeled right), more tables, etc..

I cant figure out how to get BE to work. All the categories are blank like scalers, functions etc.

First Load your definition file, bottom left hand corner. Then load a a9? bin. I don't know what processor you have. The it'll be populated.

I don't know that i'd worry so much about the throttle body air flow first. I'll answer any of your questions as best I can. If I were you, I'd prob start with timing and fuel

I was trying to set the idle first to try and get rid of my surging idle. Where should I start with the fuel and timing.

To get that surging idle under control, I'd get my high/low slopes-injector breakpoints dialed in. Also get the MAF curve loaded in. That should be a good start. There's a lot of information on base settings for 42 lb injectors. I'm at work, but I can take a look for settings for you when I get home. Also, please post what MAF you have and what injectors it is calibrated for. If you datalog it, I can run it through EECAnalyzer for you and see what it recommends too. The part I was referring to with timing is to make sure you don't beat on the car with a stock timing table. You'll prob get detonation that way The stock timing table is way too high for a boosted car.

an overly rich mixture will cause idle surge which is common on a stock tune computer with larger injectors etc etc

so before "curing the surging idle" i would do as suggested above and work with the MAF and injector settings, once the AFRs start getting where they should be. chances are the idle surge will go away.

for the timing i would lock out the timing to 17-18 total in the "WOT spark advance vs RPM" function. that should keep things safe when WOT, until you get around to rescaling the load based tables... once you rescale the load table you will have to go back and rescale the values in the tables. or else you will have way too much timing at part throttle.

I have a pro-m 80mm maf with 42# injectors. I have a datalog of the car idleing if that is any help to you. How do I send it to you?

PM me your email and i'll send you the maf curve you should start with. put it in, datalog your idle and reply to me with your new datalog. Also, let me know what processor you have(a9l, a9p, etc) Did you get the free version of Binary Editor yet?

For the injector settings, try low slope - 50.5, high slope 42.5. That should be enough to get you started. I would also change the scalar "fuel - time at high load to force open loop" to .5 secs. It is currently 2 secs. Did you get the free binaryeditor working so I can send you bin files and you can do a compare and see what I did. Then you can save the bin and use caledit to load it to your tweecer.

If I recall correctly, the eec will use the lowest timing value out of all the tables for wot, right? Also, I don't have my laptop to check, but isn't there a scalar that allows you to only use the primary spark table and disable wot vs ect, act, rpm?

AFAIK there isnt a scalar that does that, i havent seen it...
and i have done it and other have too.... to disable "WOT" mode, simply set the TPS breakpoint for WOT to like 5v or some other value your TPS will never read. that way the car technically doesnt go into WOT, and thus will never use any WOT adders and modifiers. the only difference b/w WOT and OL is WOT has a few scalars and adders and etc that come into effect, like the WOT spark table and the WOT fuel multiplier etc etc.

setting the TPS voltage higher than the TPS will reach means the EEC will look to your base spark tables for spark timing.

only thing that sucks is when you do this its harder to see when you go WOT in your logs since the WOT button wont ever light up.

it would be nice to have a scalar to disable all WOT adders, if there is please give me the number so i can find it

The scalar I'm referring to is for disabling spark adders only. It is "z_wspksw" Disables spark advance vs act, bp, ect, rpm and disables wot spark adder(kws1) In bineditor, go to scalars, click on pid to sort and go to the bottom.
